Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to partner with the Project Manager and team on utility-scale solar projects across multiple states. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, procurement coordination, and document control to ensure efficient project delivery.

The engineer will assist with pre-construction activities, subcontractor coordination, material expediting, and daily field activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 6 months to 1 year internship experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with project management applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with owners, A/E teams, building departments and other team members.
• Basic finance skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with planning and daily execution of solar utility-scale projects.
• Track submittals, delivery of materials, and coordinate contract documents to avoid conflicts.
• Coordinate startup and mobilization, identify milestones and develop startup checklists.
• Expedite materials, maintain submittal logs, and verify fabrication status.
• Assist with project administration, reports, and RFI processes.
• Support change orders, cost proposals, and closeout activities.
