Job summary

Moss Construction Management is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Project Engineer to support the Electrical Superintendent and Project Manager on large utility-scale solar projects across multiple states. The role emphasizes field coordination, procurement, scheduling, and safety.

You will work with the project team, owners, and vendors, handling submittals, change orders, and field installations while traveling extensively.

Qualifications

Six months to one-year solar internship or full-time experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer, or electrical foreman in the construction industry.
Strong computer skills are a necessity, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills interfacing with owners, A/E team, building departments and other team members.

Responsibilities

Coordinate project startup and mobilization activities, including owner contract review, startup checklist, site utilization plan, mobilization and subcontractor/vendor selection.
Expedite materials with submittal logs, fabrication/delivery scheduling, and submittal/SD review processes.
Coordinate construction activities with the superintendent, conduct pre-construction meetings, maintain activity tracking and schedule updates, perform quality inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
Assist with subcontractor and vendor agreements, insurance/bonds, meeting agendas/minutes, jobsite files, progress photos, and project status reports; manage RFI process.
