Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our multi-state team. The role collaborates with the Project Manager to drive pre-construction, startup, and construction activities for utility-scale solar projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating document control, submittal and material delivery, schedule updates, and safety/compliance oversight, with frequent travel across states. Bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering and internship experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Familiarity with construction project management software is expected.
• Basic finance skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline is required.
• 6 months to 1 year internship experience in the construction industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-construction activities, establishes document control procedures, performs quantity takeoffs, and assists with budget presentations.
• Coordinates project start-up: reviews contracts, develops startup checklist, mobilization, and schedules.
• Expedites materials: develops submittal log, coordinates delivery, and verifies fabrication status.
• Manages construction activities: tracks progress, ensures safety procedures, and coordinates meetings.
• Facilitates project administration: manages RFI process, correspondence, and Prolog maintenance.
• Tracks project costs: processes pay requests, and updates labor cost reports.
• Manages change orders: drafts requests, negotiates pricing, and assesses schedule impacts.
• Manages project closeout: prepares closeout logs, coordinates training, and compiles As-Built drawings.
• Supports professional development and company engagement.
