Pearce is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I (Operations and Maintenance) for sites near San Jose, CA. You will perform O&M on solar power plants, with focus on safety, documentation, and reliability. The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical skills and the ability to work independently or with a crew.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years O&M experience on solar plants.
• Experience with inverters, trackers or substations preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• OSHA safety with LOTO and JHA knowledge.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors.
• Willing to travel up to 25% and reside within ~50 miles of San Jose.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of solar equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with meters and related tools.
• Test solar equipment and verify proper operation.
• Maintain safety with LOTO and JHA practices.
• Work solo or as part of a team.
