Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) for Broad Brook, CT. This on-site role will begin as a contingent position with potential to transition to permanent.

Responsible for field maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of PV systems, with on-call duties and travel up to 10%. The role requires OSHA 30, NFPA 70e training, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to identify energized/de-energized electrical parts and safely de-energize sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities with minimal supervision.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair solar equipment and electrical systems on site.
• Utilize system monitoring apps to diagnose issues and determine responses.
• Complete accurate documentation and time/material reports; create tickets from start to finish.
