Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to join our Broad Brook, CT team. This full-time role starts as a contingent position with the potential to transition to permanent status, focusing on field maintenance and troubleshooting of PV systems with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates will have strong safety practices, basic electrical testing skills, OSHA 30/NFPA 70e credentials, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical training is a plus.
• Ability to recognize work hazards and use proper tools/procedures.
• OSHA 30 certification or higher is preferred.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar equipment and systems with minimal supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic work and use system monitoring software to identify issues.
• Prepare accurate work documentation, including time and materials, in the Sprocket system.
• Maintain safety as the top priority and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Be available for on-call duties and travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
