Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Solar Farm Technician to oversee on-site safety and generation across regional plants. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and monitoring solar assets in collaboration with Operators, Engineers, Asset Managers, and Project Managers.

You will coordinate daily operations, preventive maintenance, and event responses, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with safety, NEC, and industry standards while traveling to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• An Associate degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
• NABCEP Certification or Electrical License is beneficial.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing is required.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in renewable energy or power plant operations.
• Experience supervising maintenance and coordinating third-party contractors.
• Knowledge of NEC and safety protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of renewable energy at regional plants in a reliable and safe manner.
• Monitor performance and coordinate operational abnormalities.
• Supervise maintenance and repair of plant components; troubleshoot issues.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Provide technical support and generate operational reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and act as local liaison for RWE Americas.
