Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Solar Farm Technician to oversee on-site operations and maintenance of solar assets across the regional portfolio. The role focuses on safe execution, reliable energy production, and collaboration with Operators, Engineers, Asset Managers, Project Managers, and on-site contractors.

You will perform daily operations, preventive maintenance, and event responses, with responsibilities spanning home base plants and others in the region.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• NABCEP Certification or Electrical License preferred.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in related renewable energy field.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in power plant operations environment.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in troubleshooting and maintenance or supervising maintenance.
• Preference for renewable energy experience, preferably solar.
• Must be trained in power plant safety and electrical safety.
• Willingness to travel to sites as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of renewable energy at regional plants.
• Monitor performance to meet expectations.
• Coordinate and resolve operational abnormalities.
• Supervise maintenance and repair of plant components.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance as required.
• Provide technical support and produce operation reports.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and coordinate contractors.
