Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Solar Farm Technician II to perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, civil, and mechanical scopes at operating solar facilities.

Responsibilities include testing equipment, ensuring safety, completing LOTO/JSAs, data reporting, and coordinating with third-party contractors. Field-based with travel to sites; strong safety culture emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• NABCEP Certification or Electrical License preferred.
• Unrestricted driver license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance electrician work or 4 years multi-craft experience.
• Preference for solar O&M experience; knowledge of NEC.
• Competent with power plant safety and electrical safety protocols.
• Willingness to travel and work nontraditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Follow site procedures; ensure safety and LOTO compliance.
• Complete JSA, Permits to Work, and necessary documentation.
• Collect data and prepare reports; support BOP activities as needed.
• Interact with contractors; monitor work and ensure corrective actions.
• Operate MS Office; use maintenance software for troubleshooting.
• Respond to emergencies and safety incidents promptly.
• Travel to multiple sites as required; perform other duties as assigned.
