Job summary

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Solar Project Engineer to lead engineering execution for PV and BESS projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring technically sound, cost-effective, and constructible solutions. You will own critical technical decisions, mentor team members, and drive improvements across the project portfolio.

You will collaborate with Design, Development, Engineering, Estimation, and Grid Integration teams, coordinating internal and external engineers and vendors to deliver optimized

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of solar or BESS design experience.
• Experience leading engineering for complex PV or BESS projects across full life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design execution across full project life cycle for complex PV and BESS assets.
• Own project-level technical decisions, balance cost/schedule/constructability/performance.
• Direct cross-functional collaboration to ensure basis of design is understood by the project team.
• Lead development and interpretation of plant performance models and analyses for project decisions.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables, equipment selections, and procurement inputs.
• Mentor junior team members through coaching and reviews.
• Drive department processes and tooling improvements with Technical Strategy Team.
