Job summary

Nexamp Inc. is seeking a Senior Solar Project Engineer to lead engineering execution for complex PV and energy storage projects across the lifecycle.

You will coordinate internal teams, external engineers, and vendors to deliver optimized solutions that meet project requirements and cost objectives. You will report to the Manager, Project Engineering and work across hub offices in Boston, Chicago, and Washington DC with hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of solar or BESS design/project engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering for complex PV/BESS projects across full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design execution for PV and BESS assets across the project lifecycle.
• Own project-level technical decisions and balance cost, schedule, and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Development, Engineering, Estimation, Deployment, Project Finance, and Grid teams.
• Develop and maintain plant performance models and analyses for optimization decisions.
• Review engineering deliverables, equipment specs, RFIs, submittals, and drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
• Mentor junior project engineers and drive process improvements for Project Engineering.
