AES Corporation in Chicago seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage project development across the US and internationally, expanding our owner-operated renewable power plants. You will work with a team to qualify new opportunities, perform technical due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities, municipalities and others for renewables.

Qualifikationen

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with PV modeling tools: PVSYST, HOMER, SAM, Helioscope and Plant Predict.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel.

Aufgaben

• Support business development and RFP responses for solar and battery projects.
• Perform technical due diligence evaluating project feasibility and data accuracy.
• Develop preliminary plant designs, site layouts, and single-line diagrams.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Execution and Finance teams on opportunities.
• Model energy production and battery dispatch; participate in technical deliverables for proposals.
