Syms Strategic Group (SSG) in a 100% U.S.-based remote role for the Veterans Affairs (VA) department seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer with strong programming skills (C#, Java, or Python). The position requires U.S. citizenship, a Public Trust (MBI) clearance, and 10+ years of software testing experience.

Salary range: $85,389–$116,975 per year. Responsibilities include designing test plans, writing and executing test cases, leading testing efforts, and maintaining test artifacts.

Formación

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven track record on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Proficient in writing and executing test cases and scripts.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet requirements.
• Write test plans, test schedule, and approach.
• Conduct test case/script walkthroughs with Test Managers and leads.
• Perform tests to ensure operation free from defects.
• Document and communicate test results and progress.
• Support analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
