Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Software Supervisor to drive technical strategy and hands-on delivery across UI and backend services in a cloud-native vehicle telematics platform. This leadership role combines architecture oversight with code review and practical coding, partnering with product owners and cross-functional teams to raise engineering quality.

You'll own end-to-end design, lead multi-team initiatives, mentor others on testing, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• 1+ year as technical lead or delivering multi-team projects.
• 1+ year frontend development with React/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical design and delivery for UI and backend features.
• Act as technical lead on multi-team initiatives and unblock blockers.
• Serve as primary technical contact across project lifecycle and align teams.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation with pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and participate in design reviews.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across distributed microservices.
• Champion quality with test automation and regression coverage.
• Evaluate framework/library upgrades and document breaking-change risks.
• Create technical documentation for go/no-go decisions.
• Self-start into unfamiliar codebases and build context independently.
