Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Integration and Test in the Kent, WA and Huntsville, AL area. You will lead a team responsible for software integration and testing across programs, driving SIL testing, HIL collaboration, and CI/CD automation.

A strong background in C/C++, Python, RTOS, and embedded systems is required. The role interfaces with IPTs, FSW, and systems engineering, focusing on delivering reliable software for spaceflight assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software development, integration, or testing in aerospace.
• 2+ years in a people management role, building and leading teams.
• Proficient in C/C++ development with strong technical prowess.
• Skilled in Python or similar scripting languages.
• RTOS and embedded control systems knowledge, APIs, interfaces, and device drivers.
• Familiarity with UDP/TCP, I2C, UART, etc.
• Strong SDLC and testing methodologies; version control (Git).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software integration and test team.
• Develop and execute SIL test plans and validation plans for test beds.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets for software integration and test objectives.
• Collaborate with HIL, vehicle test, FSW, and systems engineering teams for seamless integration.
• Define, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Report progress and risks to program leadership.
