Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced space systems software engineer to define interfaces and architectures for new spacecraft product lines. You will collaborate with flight and ground teams to integrate software across complex platforms, lead testing efforts, and drive program success with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years in space systems software development, testing and execution.
• Knowledge of space mission operations and satellite systems.
• Experience in aerospace software development and testing.
• Expertise in spacecraft flight, command & control software, or related areas.
• Experience with EDUs, unit and integration testing, and HW/SW-in-the-loop testing.
• Familiarity with SE tools and methodologies.
• Security clearance (TS/SCI) and willingness to polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Define multiple candidate architectures for software interfaces for new spacecraft product lines.
• Collaborate with flight and ground software teams to define, develop, and integrate software systems.
• Develop hardware-to-software interface definitions and manage lifecycle designs.
• Design and implement mission software test plans and procedures for space missions.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts across software development and testing.
• Improve testing methodologies for efficiency and effectiveness.
