Leidos in Alexandria, VA, seeks a Software Engineering & Platforms Manager to lead software engineering, DevSecOps, data platforms, and automation for Coast Guard C5ISC. You will guide a multidisciplinary team delivering mission-critical platforms, aligning with government leadership and industry partners to accelerate modernization and secure, scalable solutions for critical missions.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressively responsible software, platform, DevSecOps, data, automation, or related engineering experience, including 3+ years supporting federal government contracts or programs.
4+ years of direct technical people management or engineering leadership, including oversight of multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent delivery workstreams.
Strong technical depth in software/platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud-based systems, or enterprise integration, with ability to evaluate designs and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience delivering through Agile/DevSecOps practices and managing schedules, resources, backlogs, dependencies, quality, risks, and customer commitments.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, software security, APIs/integration patterns, cloud services (AWS and/or Azure), and operational sustainment.
Ability to lead specialists across diverse technology areas without being the primary hands-on administrator of every platform.
Excellent written, verbal, stakeholder-management, and executive briefing skills.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across DSOP, Data Fabric, and Enterprise Automation initiatives.
Oversee DevSecOps, CI/CD toolchains, and platform engineering including Appian and low-code support.
Guide data platform, integration engineering, and governance across Databricks, Confluent, Kong, and Qlik.
Coordinate interfaces, dependencies, and knowledge transfer with Coast Guard stakeholders and Enlighten partner teams.
Manage delivery plans, Agile backlogs, staffing, risks, and performance metrics; report transparently.
Present technical recommendations and architecture options to technical and non-technical audiences.
