Job summary

Leidos is hiring a senior DevSecOps engineer to lead the design and deployment of a secure CI/CD platform on AWS GovCloud for Coast Guard applications. You will automate software supply chains, implement IaC with Terraform, and enforce RMF/ATO controls while maintaining observability and secure logging.

The role requires expert GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Terraform on GovCloud, and GitOps with Argo CD, plus strong scripting and security tooling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field; 12+ years in IT
• 5+ years hands-on DevSecOps
• Expert-level knowledge of GitLab CI
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes
• Deep, practical expertise with Terraform in AWS GovCloud
• Hands-on experience implementing GitOps with Argo CD
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and a centralized logging stack (Vector/Loki/Fluentd)
• Scripting in Bash, Python or Go

Responsibilities

• Design and implement foundational CI/CD and Security infrastructure on AWS GovCloud using modern Cloud-native technologies
• Architect and maintain Golden Path CI/CD templates with GitLab CI; automate the software supply chain with SAST, SCA, SBOM, and artifact signing (Cosign/Sigstore)
• Develop modular Terraform to provision AWS GovCloud and Kubernetes; implement GitOps with Argo CD, Kustomize and Helm
• Deploy and maintain core platform services (GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Vault); manage GitLab Runner on Kubernetes for security and scalability
• Implement and validate RMF-based ATO controls; automate security hardening with OPA and Kyverno
• Build and manage observability stack: centralized logging (Vector/Loki), Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards; secure log shipping to SIEM
