CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse engineering team across geographies. You will design and execute solutions for Specialty Pharmacy, focusing on operational efficiency and a multi-year modernization roadmap.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience using Agile methodologies.
5+ years building microservices with Python/Java (Spring Boot).
3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
At least 3+ years containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
At least 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
At least 1+ years experience with Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI based web services/tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, foundational framework and development of Specialty Pharmacy products and associated technology assets.
Assess software engineering practices, driving continuous improvement, improving operational efficiency, time to market and overall product quality.
Lead engineering teams, guiding and mentoring them in implementing solutions across a wide range of technological platforms.
People management including hiring, performance management, team building, coaching, and setting measurable professional goals.
Build relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the delivery roadmap.
Build partnerships with vendors for onshore/offshore staffing and solution providers.
Conduct technology research to develop a long-term strategy based on healthcare and tech trends.
Up to 10% travel within the United States.
