Job summary
CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead and grow a diverse engineering team delivering digital solutions for specialty pharmacy operations.
You will partner with Strategy, Operations and Product to translate a multi-year technology roadmap into actionable programs, supervise offshore/onshore staff, and drive excellence in delivery, quality and innovation across geographies.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Agile.
- 5+ years developing microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
- 3+ years leading distributed remote software teams.
- 3+ years using Kubernetes and Docker.
- 2+ years with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- 1+ year using agentic AI frameworks and generative AI web services.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Specialty pharmacy products and tech assets.
- Improve software engineering practices to boost efficiency and quality.
- Lead engineering teams across multiple platforms and geographies.
- Manage people: hiring, performance, career growth, coaching.
- Partner with Business, Product and Technology to support roadmaps.
- Collaborate with onshore/offshore vendors for staffing and partnerships.
- Drive technology research and long-term strategy in healthcare and tech.
- Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed.
