Job summary

New Relic in the United States is seeking a technology leader to guide and grow our global engineering team and advance the next generation of Application Performance Monitoring.

You will lead with data analysis, leverage OpenTelemetry, and help design and build APM agents that run in customer environments, delivering actionable insights across distributed teams. We support fully office-based, remote, or hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience leading people and teams.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling strong technical teams.
• Experience handling high performing self-directed remote teams.
• Experience in backend languages such as Java and Node.
• Experience with Data Analysis and 24/7 operations.
• Ability to coach, listen, and drive urgent, quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow our global engineering team to build APM agents.
• Hands-on with data analysis and technical problem solving.
• Help design and build our APM agents that run in customer environments.
• Build processes that ensure reliability, scalability and team growth.
