Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union seeks a Software Engineering Lead to own the design, development, and lifecycle of its software portfolio, including digital banking platforms and core banking systems. You’ll partner with product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions and write robust, testable code with comprehensive documentation.

The role leads a cross-functional team, establishes coding standards and security practices, supports SDLC activities, and mentors engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 3 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages: C# (ASP.NET Core), Python, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web technologies, databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of enterprise software across banking platforms.
• Establish development standards, security practices, and code quality.
• Collaborate with product and project teams to ensure quality solutions.
• Support SDLC activities including analysis, design, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor engineers, manage a high-performing team, and participate in on-call rotations.
