Job summary

Michigan State University Federal Credit Union is seeking a Software Engineer Lead to guide a high-performing team and drive enterprise-scale software initiatives. You will shape development standards, coordinate with product teams, and deliver solutions that streamline business processes.

The role requires strong leadership, architectural insight, and hands-on coding across C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with cloud familiarity in AWS/Azure. Travel to MSUFCU HQ may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or 3 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of C# (ASP.NET Core), Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; OO programming experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Node.js, React, React Native; web technologies including HTML5 and CSS; SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Develop and enforce development standards and security requirements for enterprise software.
• Collaborate with product and project management to ensure quality solutions for business units.
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level business solutions to optimize costs or workflows.
• Lead design and development of projects; communicate with stakeholders and team members.
