Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and own solutions across mobile, website, and core systems. This cross-functional role partners with product teams to translate requirements into robust software, with emphasis on secure coding, testing, and documentation.

The position supports onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangements within Michigan or Illinois, with occasional travel to East Lansing. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3 years of experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures; familiarity with SDLC and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (analysis, design, testing, deployment, maintenance).
• Develop front-end interactive elements and backend architecture to ensure robust, high-quality software.
• Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and third-party vendors to create technical specifications and documentation.
• Write robust, testable code and automated tests to ensure reliability and quality.
