Job summary

MSU Federal Credit Union is seeking a Security Engineer to test, deploy, document, and improve internal security controls for safety, soundness, and efficiency.

The role involves collaboration with stakeholders to maintain board-approved risk appetite, with on-call rotation and occasional travel to East Lansing, MI. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000+ annually, with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security, or 5+ years of experience in lieu.
• Experience leading a security engineering team from peer leadership.
• Advanced security certifications (GIAC/CISSP or equivalent) and CompTIA Sec+.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on IT projects to address security throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage configurations and operation standards for security systems and apps.
• Lead complex security projects independently and mentor junior engineers.
