Applied Intuition in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect the world representation layer for the Acuity autonomy stack. You will design spatial data structures, ECS, and 4D object management for multi-agent environments.

The role focuses on real-time world modeling, coordinate frame management, and optimizing performance in C++20, with collaboration across sensor, planning, and simulation teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building world representations in game engines, simulators, or autonomous stacks.
• Deep expertise in spatial systems, world modeling, or simulation environments.
• Strong C++20 skills, performance-oriented and low-latency design.
• Experience with ECS, spatial indexing, and 4D object management.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting for tooling.
• Ability to profile, optimize, and reduce allocations in real-time code.

Responsibilities

• Architect World & Scene Representation Systems with core spatial data structures.
• Own mapping and geometry pipelines between sensor data and path planning.
• Drive high-performance, low-latency, memory-conscious design in C++.
• Lead architectural decisions and clean API design for cross-domain integration.
• Collaborate across sensor, planning and simulation teams and mentor others.
