Applied Intuition seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect the world representation layer at the heart of the Acuity autonomy stack. You will define 4D spatial abstractions, ECS, and high-performance data structures for multi-agent environments across air, ground, and maritime domains.

The role combines computational geometry, real-time world modeling, and large-scale simulation, focusing on fast, accurate, and scalable representations under real operational constraints.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with spatial systems, world modeling, or simulation environments.
• Expert-level C++ skills (C++20+), including performance optimization at the systems level.
• Hands-on experience building world/scene representations in engines, simulators, or autonomous stacks.
• Strong background in computational geometry and spatial data structures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and shell scripting for tooling.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and agentic coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect world and scene representation systems and data structures for large-scale multi-agent environments.
• Own mapping and geometry pipelines between sensor data and path planning stacks.
• Write highly optimized C++ with low latency and cache efficiency.
• Drive architectural decisions and clean API design for cross-domain integration.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with sensor, planning, and simulation teams.
