Job summary

Applied Intuition, a Sunnyvale-based leader in autonomy software, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect the world representation layer of the Acuity stack. The role focuses on designing scalable 4D spatial abstractions, ECS, and high-performance data structures for multi-agent environments.

You will own core systems, optimize geometry pipelines, and drive cross-domain integration with sensor, planning, and simulation teams while maintaining real-time performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering in spatial systems, world modeling, or simulation environments.
• Expert-level C++ (C++20+) with performance optimization at the systems level.
• Hands-on experience building world representations from game engines, simulators, or autonomous stacks.
• Strong background in computational geometry: BVH, octrees, spatial data structures.
• Low-latency, high-throughput design for real-time environments.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting for tooling and automation.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect World & Scene Representation Systems and ECS frameworks.
• Own Mapping & Geometry Pipelines between sensor data and path planning.
• Drive highly optimized C++ code with focus on latency and memory use.
• Lead architectural decisions and define clean APIs for cross-domain integration.
• Collaborate with sensor, planning, and simulation teams to meet autonomy needs.
