Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect the world representation layer of the Acuity autonomy stack. The role focuses on 4D spatial abstractions, ECS, and high-performance data structures for multi-agent environments.

The candidate will own core systems from geometry pipelines to environment abstraction layers, with an emphasis on fast, accurate, scalable representations under real-time constraints.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, with spatial systems or simulation experience.
• Expert-level C++ skills (C++20+), including performance optimizations.
• Hands-on experience building world/scene representations in engines, simulators, or autonomous stacks.
• Strong background in computational geometry: transforms, BVH/octrees, spatial data structures.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect World & Scene Representation Systems for large-scale multi-agent environments.
• Own Mapping & Geometry Pipelines between sensor data and path planning.
• Drive highly optimized, low-latency, memory-conscious C++ implementations.
• Lead architectural decisions and cross-domain integration across autonomy stacks.
• Collaborate with sensor, planning, and simulation engineers to meet system needs.
