Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect the world representation layer of its Acuity autonomy stack. You will own the foundational scene and mapping systems, defining 4D abstractions and ECS for multi-agent environments.

You will write optimized C++20 code and collaborate across sensor, planning, and simulation engineers to ensure real-time performance. The role requires 7+ years in spatial systems or simulation, strong geometry expertise, and proficiency in Python

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering in spatial systems, world modeling, or simulation environments.
• Expert-level C++ skills (C++20+), including template metaprogramming and SIMD.
• Hands-on experience building world representations from game engines, simulators, or autonomous stacks.
• Strong background in computational geometry: BVH, octrees, k-d trees, spatial data structures.
• Low-latency, high-throughput software design in real-time environments.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Architect world and scene representation systems, including ECS, spatial indexing, and 4D object management.
• Own mapping and geometry pipelines, coordinate frame management and environment abstraction layers.
• Drive performance with highly optimized C++20 code and cache-efficient designs.
• Lead architectural decisions enabling cross-domain integration across autonomy stacks.
• Collaborate with sensor, planning, and simulation engineers to align scene layer with the full stack.
