Job summary

DTN (Data Transmission Network) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Workday Finance to design, build, and operate scalable enterprise software. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, QA, and Finance experts to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, cloud-native services, financial data accuracy, and secure, auditable processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or Go.
• Strong understanding of OO design, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable backend services.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and async/event-driven patterns.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern dev practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software services for Workday Finance capabilities.
• Own complex technical problems from requirements through deployment and support.
• Design and implement reliable APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems.
• Develop solutions for financial transactions, accounting, billing, revenue, and reporting workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, traceability, and auditable processes.
• Build resilient services with retry, idempotency, and data reconciliation handling.
• Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
