Job summary

DTN is seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday Financials Analyst to join our Finance engineering team and build scalable, reliable software for critical financial processes. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise finance applications, collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, QA, and Finance SMEs to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering with complex systems.
• Experience with modern languages such as Java, Python, C++, Go.
• Strong OO design, data structures, algorithms, and software principles.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable backend services.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, and asynchronous systems.
• Strong SQL and relational DB experience.
• Cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Analytical, collaborative, and able to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software services for Workday Finance capabilities.
• Own complex technical problems from requirements through production deployment and support.
• Design and implement APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems.
• Develop solutions for financial transactions, accounting, billing, revenue, and reporting workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, traceability, and auditable records.
• Build resilient services with proper error handling and reconciliation.
• Participate in architecture reviews and influence technical direction.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to simplify architecture and reduce debt.
