Workday, Inc. is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build and enhance the Data Cloud. You will work on distributed data processing frameworks and algorithms to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability across large data sets.

You will craft infrastructure that powers data crunching while keeping the product simple and user-friendly, collaborating with partners and turning ideas into high-quality implementations that drive customer success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years software development experience in an object‑oriented or functional language
• Background in data warehousing, database system internals and/or distributed systems
• Good grasp of SQL
• Experience with one or more of: Kubernetes, Apache Spark and Spark SQL internals, Apache Iceberg and zero‑copy architectures, Apache Polaris, Trino
