Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to join a team delivering software for hardware-integrated mission systems. You will work on analytics, real-time data processing, and enterprise web applications, collaborating with hardware engineers and field staff to meet stringent performance and security requirements.

The role demands deep Java/C++ expertise, experience with Spring, JSP/Servlets, and RESTful services, plus strong teamwork in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years in C++ development.
• Ten+ years in Java with presentation tier work.
• 2+ years using Spring and JavaScript.
• 5+ years with JSP/Servlets and enterprise web design.
• 5+ years of experience designing RESTful apps.
• Experience deploying in Apache Tomcat.
• Familiar with JavaScript libraries (JQuery/Angular/EXTJS).
• Experience with MongoDB desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Review and test components; document results and fix defects.
• Integrate software into new/modified environments and systems.
• Develop data queries for databases and data repositories.
• Contribute to documentation and software process improvements.
• Design and implement algorithms meeting performance standards.
• Coordinate with system and hardware engineers on requirements.
• Oversee software teams to meet project constraints.
