Job summary

The BIT, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and implement software solutions for the Aeronautical Navigation Office. The ideal candidate has strong coding skills across C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python, with a focus on secure, compliant code and DevOps practices.

The role involves collaborative work with Product Owners, QA Managers, and architects, operating within a SAFe Agile framework and contributing to deployment activities.

Qualifications

Requires BS degree and 12+ years of relevant experience OR MS with 10+ years of relevant experience; Doctorate acceptable.
TS with ability to obtain SCI and Poly CI.
DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3).
Experience in SAFe Agile software development and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Owners, QA Managers, Chief Architect and development teams to design, develop, test and maintain software solutions.
Contribute to a SAFe Agile workflow with daily coordination, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
Support deployment activities and maintain secure, agency-compliant code baselines.
Aim to keep system code coverage above 80% while improving software quality, performance and reliability.
