Job summary
Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands‑on development for enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud‑native platforms. This role serves as the technical authority for initiatives and collaborates with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
Anticipated salary range is $125,300 - $178,900 with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of software engineering experience, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Cloud platforms experience (Google Cloud preferred) and Kubernetes knowledge.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform).
- Hands-on API management and integration platforms (Apigee, etc.).
- Security models (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and regulated environments.
- Experience building enterprise integration platforms and API ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud‑native solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, and design patterns across teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide implementation strategies.
- Lead technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews for initiatives.
- Mentor developers and act as escalation point for complex challenges.
- Drive modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and observability.
