Job summary
SpaceX in Redmond is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Starlink Enterprise Products (Space Lasers). You will own software for bring-up and operation of Starlink products including Plaser, Community Gateway, and Starlink Aviation, plus future products leveraging Starlink in new industries.
You’ll work across embedded applications, backend systems, and user interfaces. We value ambitious engineers who dive deep on interdisciplinary problems and care about reliability, performance, and meaningful
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available, fault‑tolerant devices for millions of users.
- Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Identify areas to improve the experience, reliability, and efficiency of the product.
- Develop prototypes and manage experiments to prove out key design concepts.
- Write quality linux based software for common processors and microcontrollers.
- Develop hardware‑in‑the‑loop testbeds and testcases.
