Job summary

Wagmo Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a remote role based in Latin America, with overlap to US Eastern Time.

You will own the claims automation system, enhance AI-driven workflows, and work across Python/Django and TypeScript stacks to deliver scalable, trusted production features. You will ship AI-powered capabilities that impact real money, collaborating with Product to decide what to build next, and ensuring robust, measurable outcomes for claims processing.

Qualifications

• Shipped an LLM-powered feature to production with measurable impact.
• Designed or refactored critical systems (e.g., payments or claims) to improve reliability and change-readiness.
• Led or participated in end-to-end ownership with production-grade quality and rollback planning.
• Proven ability to balance model cost and quality with real benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Learn the claims automation pipeline in depth and own changes within months.
• Lower the cost of each claim by routing to appropriate models while maintaining accuracy.
• Restructure pipeline so stages can be changed, tested, and rolled out independently with gating.
• Ship automation to resolve more claims without manual review in collaboration with Product.
• Use AI to read veterinary records and improve coverage decisions.
