Job summary

Milliman IntelliScript seeks an experienced Staff Software Engineer to deliver AI-enabled SaaS solutions for P&C claims. You will transform market needs into scalable software with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with data scientists and actuaries, develop frontend (React/TypeScript/Next.js) and backend (Django/REST) services, and drive secure, automated testing and deployment practices across Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js preferred.
• Experience building backend API services with Django, REST, or similar Python web frameworks.
• Cloud development experience with Azure and/or AWS; Docker experience.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software solutions that solve business challenges.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and planning of new features and system capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, actuaries, and subject-matter experts.
• Help integrate data science outputs and model-driven insights into production workflows.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure high-quality code.
• Support deployment pipelines and secure software development practices.
