Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is seeking a Software Engineer for the Marketing Technology Platform Team, open to Senior Software Engineer level. We offer a full-time opportunity in a technology-driven environment in Des Moines, IA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and at least 1 year of software development experience (ex. Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C#, etc.) OR 5+ years of related and applicable experience.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to gather information and perform root-cause analysis to recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide development and production support for key software applications and systems.
Contribute to solutions architecture deliverables and decisions.
Partner with UX team to improve user experience and accessibility.
Work to resolve technical problems across on-premise, cloud native, and hybrid apps.
Communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders; collaborate to accomplish goals.
