Job summary

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Marketing Technology team in Iowa.

You will help advance Wellmark’s Marketing Tech ecosystem, delivering AWS-based services, content management, digital asset management, and customer journey personalization. The role collaborates with marketing stakeholders to shape the platform roadmap and champion modern engineering practices for high-quality, business-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and at least 1 year of software development experience ( Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C#, etc.) OR 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to gather information, perform root cause analysis, and craft solutions with data-driven decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and mentor team members.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide development and production support for software applications and systems.
• Contribute to solutions architecture deliverables and technical specifications.
• Partner with UX team to improve user experience and accessibility.
• Resolve technical problems across on-premise, cloud-native, and hybrid environments.
• Gather information and conduct research for root cause analysis and optimization.
• Communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders; collaborate to solve problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
