Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Maritime Division to deliver embedded and safety-critical software across vehicle management systems and real-time subsystems.

You will drive architecture, design, validation, and delivery of next-generation autonomous maritime platforms, mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experienced and proficient at writing C.
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with bus/protocols: CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553.
• Systems programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency and optimization.
• Ability to be technical owner for a software component and engage stakeholders.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement trusted, safety critical Vehicle Management Systems.
• Develop scalable vehicle sub-systems including sensor processing and state estimation.
• Contribute to reusable software components across Anduril products.
• Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
• Create test and simulation fixtures with software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Travel to co-locate with end-users up to 20% of the time.
