Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for Senior Software Engineer in Cambridge, MA. The role covers design and implementation of custom web apps with a strong emphasis on authentication, authorization, and identity products.

You will contribute to automation, testing, and ongoing platform improvements while supporting software across labs and QA environments. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics/Computer/IT, or Telecommunications Engineering plus two years of related experience.
• Two years of experience with Linux/Unix, REST/JSON APIs, web technologies, UI test frameworks, UI build systems, TLS/HTTP, version control and CI tools (Git, Jenkins), architecture design principles, data structures and algorithms, and agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom web applications focused on authentication, authorization, and identity.
• Design, implement, automate, and support all aspects of the product and platform.
• Contribute to automated test suites including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in architecture, design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions.
