Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer in Cambridge, MA. The role focuses on designing and implementing web applications around authentication, authorization, and identity-related products.

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, IT, Information Systems, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Two (2) years of experience with development on Linux/Unix OS; building and consuming REST/JSON APIs; web development core technologies; UI test frameworks; UI build systems; TLS/HTTP; version control and CI tools such as Git and Jenkins; software architecture design principles; data structures and algorithms; and agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

Design and implement software for authentication, authorization, and identity-related products.
Contribute to architecture, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions.
Develop new applications and enhance existing systems to deliver new capabilities.
Support automated test suites including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests.
