Allegion is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and event-driven microservices powering connected access solutions. You’ll work with a global team to deliver high-performance software that keeps people safe and secure.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong C#/.NET Core skills, and deep knowledge of Azure services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience (Required).
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience (Required).
• Fluency in a strongly typed language; C# / .NET Core preferred (Required).
• Proficiency with code management tools such as Git and GitHub (Required).
• Experience with event-driven, serverless, and microservice architectures (Required).
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (Required).
• Experience building solutions in the cloud; Azure preferred (Required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with remote teams (Required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications, APIs, and event-driven microservices.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Develop detailed solution specifications, including estimated time and scope, for stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and other Allegion business units.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to improve our applications.
• Mentor and guide junior-level engineers.
