Job summary

Serco Inc. (Serco) is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will develop software strategies for weapon systems and work with DoD contractors.

The role requires hands-on coding and system-level analysis, with experience in C++, JavaScript, Python, and a TS clearance; travel up to 10% CONUS. You will join a team delivering rapid fielding and testing across critical DoD projects.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI/SAP access
• 10+ years of DoD engineering experience
• Hands-on software development or analysis in the last few years
• Willingness to travel up to 10% CONUS

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies in support of weapon systems software acquisition, development, and sustainment
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing
• Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries and verify quality controls
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and control measures
• Evaluate proposed design changes and perform systems analyses and trade-off studies
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in testing and data analysis
• Support development and review of program documentation and contract deliverables
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals and perform risk assessments with mitigation plans
