Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at a U.S. Air Force facility. The role emphasizes software strategy, systems engineering, and DoD contractor oversight within a classified environment.

You will translate requirements, evaluate proposals, and drive testing and certification efforts. Applicants should have a strong hands-on background in C++, JavaScript, and Python, with 10+ years of DoD engineering experience and a current Top-Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP access is required or attainable.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis experience.
• 10+ years in an engineering position with the DoD or DoD contractor; 15+ years for bachelor’s route.

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for weapon systems and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for software design and test.
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit contractor software configuration control and quality accreditation.
• Evaluate design changes and perform system analyses and trade studies.
• Review software architecture, interoperability, and test plans.
• Support program documentation and conduct technical evaluations of proposals.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and perform technical risk assessments.
