Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will develop software strategies for weapon systems, translate requirements to architecture, and review contractor software deliveries for DoD programs.

You will audit software configurations, perform risk assessments, and participate in testing and documentation across the full software lifecycle. A current TS/SAP background and hands-on development experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET security clearance with SCI and SAP access, current within 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years in a DoD/DoD-contractor role.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years in a DoD/DoD-contractor role.
• Minimum 3 years of SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands-on software development or analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies to acquire, develop, and sustain software for weapon systems and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, testing, and evaluation of software.
• Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit contractor software configuration and control measures and verify quality accreditation.
• Evaluate contractor design changes, perform systems analyses and trade studies.
• Review software architecture, interoperability requirements, and system design.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in testing; review data and make recommendations.
• Support development of contract/program documentation and conduct technical evaluations of proposals.
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
