Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will develop software strategies for weapon systems, translate requirements into system designs, and assess contractor software deliveries while ensuring security and quality across DoD environments.

The role requires hands-on software development, extensive DoD experience, and the ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain SCI/SAP access and a current background investigation (past 5 years) or Continuous Vetting.
• Master's degree in engineering with 10+ years in a DoD/government engineering role, or a Bachelor's with 15+ years in such roles.
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Recent hands‑on software development or analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies for weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, testing, and evaluation.
• Assess DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit contractor software configuration and quality accreditation.
• Evaluate proposed contractor designs and perform systems analyses and trade studies.
• Review software architecture, interoperability, and system test plans.
