Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end development of cloud-based platforms and applications.

You will lead design, development, testing, publishing, and support while mentoring teams and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. The role requires strong Java expertise, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud experience, with collaboration across global teams to deliver secure, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software engineering (or similar).
• 5 years' experience in design and programming large scale applications through all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Proven track record of delivery of complex features end-to-end.
• 2 years experience mentoring mid to entry level engineers and influencing technical direction within a cross-functional squad.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design and query optimization. NoSQL exposure (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• 3 years experience consuming LLM APIs or integrating AI-powered features into production workflows.
• Strong debugging skills of performance/memory leaks/crash/multi-threaded algorithms.
• Experience with containerized runtimes: Docker, Kubernetes.
• 3 years experience with CI tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, publishing, and support of cloud-based platforms and applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
• Ensure features meet architecture, quality benchmarks, and stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Identify risks, improve development processes, and address technical debt where feasible.
• Communicate architecture and progress clearly to engineers and product stakeholders.
